Far away from worries, everyday life I said goodbye to Berlin. Not to run away, but I needed a time-out. When the plane took off, it was as if the world was taking a deep breath and standing still for a moment. Up there where the city is just a miniature of itself I thought: the perfect place, the moment to write my book. I would sit at the terraces just like I did before, flooded with ideas and inspiration, writing chapter after chapter. I would proudly hold my finished book in my hands and take the flight home. But that wasn’t the case. One day after I arrived my laptop gave up and left me. Without a single explanation. I begged him to stay but he went on strike. Without ifs and buts. That was it with us. After 2 so intimate years. And now? If this situation had happened to me 3 years ago I would probably have panicked. My vacation? Definitely ruined. I sat down and thought. Calmly. My loud voices in the background, I didn’t listened to them. I won’t let myself roll over emotions. In Hanoi I said goodbye to my laptop.
The anticipation is great, because rarely we find so many colours! Today we take you to a great Space. And you know what? You will love it as much as we do, we are sure of that! In this article you can find out which Space we tried out to work with and why Alice in Wonderland was always in between.
For a long time we sat in our quiet chamber and wrote stories in there. (Just like authors do, don’t they?). Now we finally dare to get out. Hello wide world! We want to share it with you and take you on this journey.
I love my job and especially my independence. For me there is nothing better than writing (I can’t do much more ;)) When the alarm clock rings, I look forward to the day and when I go to bed in the evening, I look forward to the next one. And I mean that absolutely seriously! Why it makes me so happy and why I can only recommend it to everyone reading this article. Continue reading “Lifestyle: This is why I love freelancing”→
I always thought: This is my goal – to work from home. I imagined myself sitting totally relaxed in my apartment, having my lunch break (which I would do very regularly), going to yoga, from which I would come back even more relaxed. The sun would shine (all day) into the room and after my work (which of course would be so easy for me) I would meditate for a while on my balcony. (Now I have served all Berlin hipster clichés). But unfortunately I have to disappoint my former self. I mean that I still serve all clichés has not changed… But I’ve learned a few things about Homeoffice that I am going to tell you in this article.
– Homeoffice”→
I always liked to write in nature. My best works were created in the early morning hours in the rice terraces in Philippines. Well, maybe this place is not nearly like the rice terraces but not bad either, come on! In the Café “the greens” there are at least as many plants as in the Jungle. And that’s what they promise: Coffee and plants.
I love Oscar Wilde. And for a while I read his whole biography, read all his books and almost devoured him as a person. That’s a little story about him, from my perspective. A monologue from the time in prison.
Some are already doing it, some still dream about it. Life as a freelancer.
Some will ask: But isn’t it the case that all you have to do all the time is work and run after annoying clients? Or is it just chilling at the pool and the biggest worry is when to get the next cocktail? Continue reading “Lifestyle: Freelancing – Our 5 biggest learnings”→
